Micro Wedding vs an Elopement

A micro wedding is a smaller, more intimate version of a traditional wedding, typically with fewer than 30 guests. It focuses on a smaller guest list, often including only close family and friends, and allows for a more personal and relaxed celebration.

An elopement is typically a celebration with just the couple and a few friends or family members as witnesses. Traditionally know as a ‘secret’ ceremony, elopements today are often celebrated more openly—with a few loved ones in attendance.

Why choose a Micro wedding over a traditional wedding

Intimacy and Meaningful Moments

Fewer guests (typically under 30) means more time to connect meaningfully with everyone

The day can feel more genuine, less performative.

Couples can focus on each other rather than managing a crowd.

Budget-Friendly (but Still Elegant)

Fewer people = fewer expenses (venue, catering, rentals, etc.).

You can allocate your budget towards other things like splurging on a dream photographer or having an amazing luxurious honeymoon.

Less Stress

Planning is simpler with a smaller guest list.

There's less pressure to impress or follow traditional expectations.

Logistically easier (fewer invites, RSVPs, seating plans, etc.).
